In teacher in year 5 this year is Mr Ward and the teaching assistants are Mrs Keegan and Mr Mather.
Our theme this half term is A Kingdom United. Throughout this half term we will be focusing on geography, history and music. Geography lessons will consist of exploring physical and human features of our landscape and using co-ordinates to identify specific locations on a map. We will be taking a walk to the Beacon during this half term to put our co-ordinate skills to the test! Our History lessons will focus on the Anglo Saxons and how they came to conquer Britain! In music lessons, we will be exploring national anthems and looking at when we hear then, why we have them and whether we can create our own!
We have PE twice a week, once on a Monday and once on a Friday. Please do not forget to make sure you have your PE kit in school on these days.
The children in year 5 will have the opportunity to develop their ukulele skills even more this year as they will have a ukulele lesson every Monday until the end of the year.
