Super Spelling in Y4!
Year 4 have been working hard practising their spellings. This weeks spelling pattern is the suffix ‘ian’, so children have been practising words such as magician and optician with their partners.
Online Safety in Y4
Year 4 have been learning about keeping ourselves safe when using technology. The first example we looked at was ‘Should you take a picture on your phone and hold a hot drink?’. We talked about why it’s unsafe to do this and how we should prioritise one task over the other.

Year 4 have been practising balances and stretches, ensuring that their legs are straight!
Grouping Living Things
In Science, Year 4 have been learning about how to group living things based on their physical appearance. We've learnt about vertebrates and invertebrates and had a go at grouping animals based on this. They've worked really hard!
Gardening at Forest School!
Year 4 have been super helpful during their first Forest School session. They have been helping to remove weeds and dead flowers ready for some new seeds to go in
Aspirations Week in Year 4!
This week, we’ve had lots of visitors in to show us different career paths that we could take. We’ve had acrobatic arts, engineers, construction workers, IT technicians, paramedics, firefighters and even an opera singer!
The children have loved it!

Tetrahedron Workshop
Year 4 had a blast at the tetrahedron workshop yesterday. They worked together to create tetrahedrons and then joined forces to try and create a huge structure. They showed some fantastic teamwork skills. Well done Y4!

River Wyre Trip
What a glorious day Year 4 had! First, we visited Abbeystead, where we found the source of the River Wyre. We even saw some sheep on our travels!
Identifying word classes!
Year 4 have been spending their grammar lessons learning all about different word classes. Today, we put our knowledge to the test and worked in groups to identify nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions and even determiners! Well done everyone!

Trip preparation!
