Enjoying Our New Playground! Year 5
Year 5 have been enjoying our new playground this week whilst the weather has been great!
Science - Materials
This afternoon Year 2 went on an outdoor hunt to investigate what different materials object were made of. They had to take a photograph and add it to the correct box on a Seesaw activity by deciding if it was made of metal, plastic, glass or wood
Year 3 English
In English today, Year 3 got in to role of the character the old man from The Tin Forest, we did some hot seating and conscience alley. Some great thoughts and feelings shared from the view point of the character.

Homemade Chocolate Bars - During Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Week Year 3 loved, loved, loved designing and making their own chocolate bars, but they enjoyed eating them more!

Year 3 enjoyed dressing up today as characters from Charlie and the chocolate Factory or other Ronald Dahl characters!
A lovely Monday in Pre-School
Today has been a lovely day. The children are settling in and enjoying exploring their learning environment. It is great to see happy faces coming into Pre-School, for some, this still can be hard but they are getting better each day and I am super proud when they settle in.

This week the children have embraced lots of outdoor learning. They have #enjoyed a range of activities. It is great to see them using their imaginations exploring role play; I loved seeing the children enjoy train journeys and sailing in the sea!

Pre-School Self-Portraits
Today the children became artists and painted their self-portrait. We discussed and explored the features of our face, using mirrors and talked about the different shapes of our faces. The children then chose their own colours and made different marks with the brushes.

Willy Wonka STEM Challenge
An exciting end to our Roald Dahl theme week with a STEM challenge to build a tower out of jelly tots and cocktail sticks! Great teamwork and concentration from all. We had a blast!
