What a great start to the week it was! We enjoyed outdoor PE in the morning sun. We are working hard to improve our throwing and catching skills, as part of our unit of work on invasion games.

This week we have been learning about living things and sources of food. We have worked in small groups to find out the answers to different questions. In one lesson we had to sort the animals into carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. In our next lesson we learnt about what all living things do.…

What a fantastic week we have had in the sun! The children have loved all of our Hungry Caterpillar activities and i am so proud of the how the little ones are doing. They have produced some fantastic mark making this week! Mrs Bentham is super proud! ⭐️

Programming was a big hit this afternoon as Year 2 were introduced to a new app, Scratch Jr. They loved learning how to move the cat around the screen. You can download the app in the App Store. 

In our Jigsaw lesson we talked about how people communicate using touch. We came up with lots of ideas for touches we like such as a tap on the shoulder, a hug or a pat on the pack. There were also lots of touches that we didn’t like such as pushing, hitting and kicking.
