Military style PE for WW2 week in Year 3
Sergeant Major Edwards put us through our paces in our military style PE lesson, during WW2 week. We certainly had to work hard during the lesson and built up a sweat! He made us do press ups, run laps of the playground and even practice our army crawl in a fun game!
Coding with Scratch in Year 6 - Skiing Game!

As part of Remembrance Week, our Diddy Delph Siders have made poppies using playdough and visited the memorial garden.

Year Five go TOP SECRET at Western Approaches HQ
Year Five had a great time exploring Western Approaches HQ in Liverpool - a TOP SECRET underground headquarters where The Battle of the Atlantic was orchestrated. We visited the radio room, teleprinting room and the war room - where strategic deployment of the Allied forces took place.
Pumpkin Soup - The Hangout
This week in The Hangout we read ‘Pumpkin Soup’ story, explored pumpkins and made our very own pumpkin soup! Yum! We carefully used knives to chop the pumpkin and onion, for ease we used a soup maker to cook our soup. It was delicious!
World War 2 in Year 1
Year 1 are enjoying WW2 week. The children made their own evacuation suit case and compared the difference between the things that the children would have put in them and what children today would pack. They also enjoyed a WW2 workshop to learn all about WW2
Stockport Air Raid Shelters
As part of our learning during Remembrance Week, Year 4 took a trip to Stockport Air Raid Shelters. We learnt about what evacuees were, why people were evacuated and typical jobs that evacuees would have to do. Children were sent away to live with other families to keep them safe. Check out theā¦

Year 3 had an incredible World War 2 workshop today. From dressing up, exploring artefacts, to engaging in drama activities, our children had a blast learning all about WW2!

Year 3 kicked off their latest Jigsaw theme, Celebrating Differences, by looking at the similarities and the differences between families. There was a surprise in store for some of them, as their family photos were shown to the class.
