Year Six paid their respects in our Victory Garden, while adding their Remembrance messages to our cenotaph.

Today Pre-School joined in with Remembrance week. The children have learnt about why poppies are special and created their own Poppy to be displayed in our lovely Delph Side Victory Garden. #evolve #remembrance 

What a fantastic week we have had in Year 5! We have learnt all about the Battle of Britain and topped our week off by completing our Spitfire sculptures! #enjoy #remembrance

Y6 decorated a poppy to write their messages of Remembrance and respect on, and place them in our Victory Garden.

Year Six  really enjoyed their Remembrance-themed PE session, with army-style routines and vaulting to different heights.

Year 3 visited our lovely Victory Garden. We read the messages we had written to the soldiers, we laid our beautiful class wreath near the cenotaph and took a minute reflection time to think about those that lost their lives during WW2.

Year 3 imagined they were soldiers during D-Day, landing on one of the 5 beaches of Normandy! They went on to write a diary entry as a soldier and used their senses to write ideas of what they may have seen, tasted, smelt, heard and felt. Great work Year 3. 

Year 5 made a start on their spitfire sculptures yesterday! They have gone solid over night and are now ready to be painted today! #enjoy #remembrance

This week the children have enjoyed a range of Halloween themed stories. One of our favourites was Meg and Mog, in which Meg casted a spell on her friends turning them into mice! The children #enjoyed using their very own wand creations to cast spells 

Year 3 enjoyed listening to World War sounds and songs. We practised a short song, Run Rabbit, Run. A great, fun lesson for us all. 

Year 5 have done their research and they are ready to start their Supermarine Spitfire Mark 1 sculptures this afternoon! #enjoy #remembrance
