Today we learnt about Earth Day, we talked about our planet and how we can look after it better. We made an Earth Day pledge of what we will do to improve how we looked after our planet. Some of us also did some litter picking on the playground. Great work.

Some of our Hangout children enjoyed a trip to Liverpool. We experienced the bus, train, open top bus and a little look around the art gallery. What great fun we had!

The Hangout have enjoyed the lead up to Easter.  They have enjoyed Easter crafts, the Easter story, squirting the eggs with water and winning Easter chocolate. We also celebrated a birthday with a little party and treats!

We have enjoyed an Easter themed Attention Autism. How eggciting! 
 

The Hangout guys created their own design for their gingerbread person’s T-shirt. They talked about identifying similarities between people in their class and discussed ways in which they are the same as their friends.

This week in our Jigsaw lesson, The Hangout have been learning about different types of medicines that can help us. We also had a good chat about medicine safety. The children were really sensible. Great work. 

The Hangout loved loved loved a visit from the ducklings, oh those little faces!

We just love making and creating for the special people in our lives.

What a lovely World Book Day The Hangout had! We listed to an Elmer story, talked about how we are unique, made elephant biscuits, painted them with food colouring and had hot chocolate and cookies with a story. A great day all round and lots of fun.

Some children from The Hangout attended a sports event at Kingsbury.  This is a massive step and achievement for some of our children in The Hangout. They represented Delph Side amazingly and had fun whilst doing the different activities. Well done! 

The Hangout have been very vocal this week for Children's Mental Health Week and the theme being My Voice Matters. The Hangout watching a little video and enjoyed thinking about their favourite things. It was great to talk about our different things and understand that everyone likes different…

The Hangout love PE Plus sessions. We have chance to work on and develop our fundamental skills. Recently we’ve also enjoyed parachute games too!
